Two New Kobe Air Force 1s Slither onto the Scene

Slithering onto the shelves this year are two new x colourways. If you took an L on last year’s drops, which was most of us because the black pair was very limited, you’ve got another chance. Kobe’s AF-1 lore can be traced throughout his career – whether he was rocking player exclusive versions or even playing in them on the court during his sneaker free agency, the connection is real. However great his affinity for the sneaker, few Kobe-inspired versions have ever been released but two more are joining the public lineup this year.

The first pair has been dubbed ‘Linen’ for its clear resemblance to the iconic . As reported by @sneakermarket.ro, the Kobe x Air Force 1 ‘Linen’ differs in that it utilises baby blue accents instead of the light pink on the true ‘Linen’. The blue is reminiscent of the Lakers MPLS jerseys, which honour the franchise’s roots in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will feature the same Kobe branding as the previous year’s colourways, with the ‘8’ and the ‘Sheath’ logos on the heel. The ‘Sheath’ is also stamped into the lateral side of the heel.

The second pair is nicknamed ‘Lenticular’ and it was revealed last year by Vanessa Bryant. It is constructed entirely of a scaly snakeskin upper. It is also iridescent, offering a shimmering take on the iconic Black Mamba print. Also featuring metal lace dubraes with an inscription that reads ‘Mamba’ in cursive font, this pair carries a luxe air that celebrates the legacy of Kobe.

Both colourways are set to drop later in 2025. The ‘Linen’ pair is slated for sometime mid-year and the ‘Lenticular’ is expected during the holiday season. Keep it locked here for all the info.
