From trolling reigning NBA champ Draymond Green to making subtle digs at Kyrie Irving in a series of intense workout videos, LeBron James is having a busy summer on Instagram. While King James may have caught the ire of Dub Nation (and of a legion of Kyrie's fans) his recent Instagram post will surely excite even the staunchest of Warriors supporters.
In this post welcoming us to the 'Terrordome', LeBron's followers might find themselves distracted by the updated Cavaliers jersey he's sporting (or by the King's bulging biceps). However, if you cast your eyes over the shoes at the bottom of the frame, it looks like James is teasing out the long-awaited arrival of the Nike LeBron 15. Though the photo doesn't offer the best view of what's on LeBron's feet, the shoe appears to be a never-before-seen model. The sole's shape is reminiscent of the LeBron 14, but the upper looks like it's constructed from a knit material. The use of knitted technology would be a first for the LeBron franchise.
Previous models of the LeBron have featured the basketballer's team colours, but this colourway departs from that trend. Again, it's hard to tell exactly what's going on with this shoe, but it appears to be sporting muted grey and purple tones. With rumours circulating that this may be LeBron's final season in Cleveland, it makes sense for the King to create a versatile colourway to carry him onto his next destination.
James seems to confirm suspicions that the popular performance shoe is set for an update, telling followers that 'Savage Season 15' is on its way. We'll be sure to keep you updated with any further news of the release.
