Taking cues from sportswear and streetwear, Jones brings a utilitarian aesthetic to the legendary silhouette. The standout changes see the canvas upper encased in a wraparound TPU cage, while an exaggerated foxing provides protection and extra attitude down below. Adding a dash of outdoor vibes, the menswear designer employs a speed-lace system for a sleek look and easy on/off. Further tweaks like ‘Kim Jones’ branding on the tongue and co-branded inner soles remix the well-known model, and add some finer Jones touches.
Jones has reworked the construction, but he’s kept the colours classic. The first make-up sees a go-to combination of black and egret, while the second goes au natural in ‘Natural Ivory’.
