Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS Prepare to Drop the GEL-Quantum Zientzia

Update March 1, 2023: Wider release details for the upcoming Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Quantum Zientzia are here. The GEL-Quantum Zientzia pays homage to ASICS’ Institute of Sport Science (ISS) and its commitment to ‘human-centric science’. While Kiko Kostadinov and his team have remained affiliated with the ASICS brand as consultants, their co-branded ventures have been put on hold. Aside from work with Brain Dead and Hysteric Glamour, we haven’t seen anything from Kiko and ASICS since 2020. Despite the duo choosing to take a hiatus, they’ve also teased new models somewhat intermittently. Now, their latest is priming for release.

Dubbed the GEL-Quantum Zientzia, this blue and black-clad iteration was teased by the designer via socials. The build boasts similar tooling to the GEL-Quantum Lylia and GEL-Quantum Levitrack – particularly the latter’s branding placement. The upper comprises a tight and wide mesh separated by a silver swirl panel and extended ASICS Tiger Stripe branding. GEL cushioning engulfs the midsole and seamlessly compliments the custom eyestays.

The Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Quantum Zientzia will land via the Kiko webstore on February 28. A wider release is currently unknown at this point, but stay locked to SF, and we’ll keep you updated with all the latest info!
