Tokyo-based designer Kei Ninomiya is a member of the Comme Des Garçons alumni, having cut his teeth at the Japanese brand as a pattern maker before starting his namesake label. Because of his experience, Ninomiya is known for crafting CDG-esque collections, with wild shapes and patterns that challenge conventional styles. For Winter 2024, Kei Ninomiya revealed that a collaboration with Reebok is in the works, and it involves multiple wild Instapumps.

Reebok’s legendary Instapump silhouette has been a fan-favourite for high-fashion collaborations, with Maison Margiela turning the legendary model into a heeled boot. For Kei Ninomiya’s colab, he’s crafted two platformed variations of the Instapump. The first is dubbed ‘Kumo’ and hosts plastic floral details throughout the whole upper, and the second version is called ‘Yuki’ and has been crafted using lace details. Ninomiya has also confirmed that there will be three colourways made of each.

There’s been no release details surface as of yet regarding the Kei Ninomiya x Reebok Instapump Fury, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker to keep updated.
