Karhu’s ‘Month of the Pearl’ Pack Evokes the Changing of the Seasons
Finnish brand have been paying homage to the harsh seasons of their motherland, with previous themed packs such as the , , and packs. The latest capsule to evoke Nordic climates is Karhu’s new ‘Month of the Pearl’ pack, consisting of two colourways of the Aria 95, two Fusion 2.0s, and a Synchron Classic.
Named after the ice drops that form once melted snow starts to freeze again, February is referred to as Helmikuu (The Month of the Pearl). As Winter turns into Spring, the contrast in weather conditions between Helsinki and the North of Finland lies behind the inspiration for the contrasting colours used across all five shoes. Grey and blues evoke the colder climate of the north, while warmer shades like bayou green and burnt orange represent the start of Spring.
