Korean fashion designer Juun.J has linked up with Reebok to produce two monochromatic renditions of the radical Instapump Fury. This is not the first outing between the two parties, as Juun.J’s work with the Vector brand dates back as early as 2008 on some runway-ready high tops. In a similar manner, the new Instapump Fury colourways have a bit of sartorial sensibility to them, but are equally suited for street use.

That’s because there isn’t much to psychoanalyse or dissect of the colourways. They’re simply presented in solid black and blue, whereby each panel of the Fury is created using a different material. The idiosyncratic Pump bladder is particularly glossy, almost resembling patent leather, and continues its reign as one of the model’s most distinctive elements. Elsewhere, tightly woven ballistic style nylon on the toe box and tongue is a durable choice, as is the leather toe cap. These utilitarian decisions continue on the rubberised pull tabs and tonal midsoles. Juun.J simply leaves his mark with raised embroidery on the top of the instep.

The Juun.J x Reebok Instapump Fury releases via the Juun.J website on March 18, followed by a release at international retailers on April 1. There will also be some matching apparel including jackets and hats.
