The Air Jordan 2 is notable for many reasons, one being that it is considered an ugly blight on an otherwise victorious streak of early Jordan silhouettes; and another being that it was the only Jordan to be produced in Italy. Back in the 1980s, that designation actually meant something – before Asian sweatshops were moved to impoverished areas of Italy with equal wages just so brands could obtain that venerated 'Made in Italy' stamp – and the AJ2 featured leathers of undeniably high quality. This new collaboration on the model with Just Don, those purveyors of exotic snapbacks helmed by Kanye protege Don C, pays tribute to that Italian history, delivering the model in blue quilted leathers, with hits of red and a super soft touch of green (hello, Italian flag). While we doubt this was made in Italy, we're digging the attention to detail in the whole package, with a gilded red box and dust bag housing the sneaks, while gold Air Jordan pins and swing tags conclude the classy affair. The Just Don x Air Jordan 2 'Italian-Made' pack should be due out very soon. We got the hot tip on this one courtesy of Asian sensations, Kenlu.
