While supernatural talent Zion Williamson was sidelined for the entire 2021-22 NBA season, Nike continue to tease colourways of his upcoming sophomore shoe, the Jordan Zion 2 finally launching later this month.

The Jordan Zion 2 ‘Voodoo’ is undoubtedly the most interesting colourway revealed yet, the design taking its vernacular from religions of the African diaspora. Manufactured in a mix of canvas and suede materials, one of the shoe’s hallmarks is certainly the use of pony hair on the tongues, the hairy aesthetic giving the Zion 2 a unique personality.

Elsewhere, voodoo skulls emblazon the heels, while Zion’s logo is stamped on the tongues. Sashiko stitching further extends the unique visual style, while the special packaging comes with an extra set of laces. Finally, cream midsoles sit in contrast to the classic gum outsoles.

Look for the Zion 2 ‘Voodoo’ to land on June 22. The retail price is locked at $140.
