Jordan X Nike SB P-Rod 9 Elite (J-Rod)
One for the true OG heads. Ten years ago, Nike's skateboarding division released their first pro-model, the 1. To help launch the signature, SB called on to produce an insanely limited dual-signature shoe collaboration known as the 'J-Rod'. A Nike silhouette with a Jumpman? Unheard of! Needless to say, the J-Rod sold out instantly and has remained one of the most hotly-coveted SB releases of all time. Following the release of this unlikely colab, SB collectors feverishly awaited the release of a J-Rod 2. SB teased us with the release of a '' coloured P-Rod 2, the /Jordan 15 inspired Hat-Rod and a mysterious 'For the Love of the Game' P-Rod IV sample, but, after all these years, the idea of Nike revisiting the J-Rod with Jumpman in tow seemed all but dead. Well, sometimes the dead come back and on this, the tenth anniversary of the P-Rod, Nike SB are bringing back the J-Rod concept on the . SB have gone all out to produce a follow-up that is true to the OG. The upper has been heavily reworked to replicate the OG J-Rod 1, from the return of traditional eyestays to the addition of elephant print panelling on the upper and -style dimples. Most importantly, the Jumpman is back, leaping proud on the heel. These are dropping December 19th at select Nike SB accounts in limited numbers.
