John Geiger X Lasco Golden Child Yz
The latest creation from sneaker madman has reared its head. Devised in collaborated with the Los Angeles Shoe Company (), Geiger's latest piece of footwear is a decadent – and very golden – homage to the Nike dubbed the Golden Child YZ.
According to LASCO, the Golden Child took over six months for engineering, construction and sourcing of parts, with over 40 hours spent handcrafting each individual pair. Taking this project one step further than LASCO's previous Yeezy 2 homage, the , authentic sole units have been utilised in the project, just like the Swoosh-made originals. Handmade from Italian leather – inside and out – and packaged in a satin bag with optional leather box, these opulent kicks don't come cheap, priced at USD$1850 per pair for sizes 7.5 to 13, and a whopping USD$2350 for sizes 14 and 15. On the bright side, at least the big-foots haven't been excluded for a change!
