News on this release was first covered on June 6, 2022.

Update July 19, 2022: After being revealed last month, you'll now have the chance to cop a pair of the JJJJound x Reebok NPC II online! A 'lucky-dip' release of sorts, according to JJJJound, their 'take on the NPC II features multiple minimal variations that give the shoe a wide array of indistinguishable iterations. The variations are mixed and matched throughout the production line.' So upon receiving your pair, you won't know exactly what you are about to unbox.

They'll be available via the JJJJound webstore on July 21, 12pm EST, with a global Reebok release to follow, come August 5. The price is set at $165.

Montreal’s JJJJound continue to impress in the sneakersphere, Justin Saunders’ early 2000s mood board becoming a streetwear force in recent years. Collaborating with the likes of BAPE, New Balance, ASICS and Vans in 2022, JJJJound are now taking the scalpel to the Reebok NPC II (aka the Newport Classic), a big-serving 1980s tennis sneaker.

Unveiled via JJJJound's official Instagram, the upcoming collaboration overhauls the 1980s icon with white leather uppers, beige nylon tongues, and beige terry cloth interiors. A gold foil JJJJound logo strikes the laterals, while standard Reebok embossing appears on the lateral heel of the midsole.

It’s certainly not JJJJound's first rodeo with Reebok, the Canadian streetwear stalwart previously linking up on models like the Club C 85 and Classic Nylon.

Look for the JJJJound x Reebok NPC II to hit retailers over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, make sure to check out a complete history of the Montreal label’s sneaker collaborations!
