JJJJound’s New Padmore & Barnes P404 Collaboration Arrives in JulyRelease: 8 July 2022
JJJJound are dropping another minimalist shoe with Padmore & Barnes, opting again to remake the P404. P&B deserve praise as the original manufacturers of the iconic Clarks Wallabee. Of course, being a brand known for more esoteric collaborations, JJJJound select the deeper cut by partnering with the OG brand.
This pair is a like a caramel chew for the feet, evident by its tonal tan finish, which has been made using natural ‘Vegetable Nevada’ leather. Its smooth surface has a dull shine that will develop nice patina as the shoe is broken in. It’s also leather inside and out, as the lining and footbed also offer a similarly soft feel. Even the laces are leather, adding to the premium build.
Underfoot is also as luxurious as the upper. Plantation crepe – a specific ‘No1’ grade supplied to P&B – is true to OG specifications and is super spongy. While the company is based in Ireland, the entire moccasin toed P404 is constructed over in Portugal, a country renowned for this type of footwear. The colab is finished with a minimalist JJJJound text logo printed on the footbed and ankle tags.
The JJJJound x Padmore & Barnes P404 will be available directly from JJJJound on July 8 at 12PM EST.
