JJJJound and New Balance have officially announced their latest collaborative effort: a mossy olive green take on the 990v3. Originally revealed back in November 2021 when a New Balance store in Barcelona accidentally put pairs out on their sales floor – which, of course, were quickly snapped up by eagle-eyed Spanish sneaker lovers – this new effort between the Canadian masters of minimalism and New Balance marks their fourth co-created shoe after 2021's murky 990v4.

A product of New Balance's MADE in the USA initiative, the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 offers a two-tone olive upper made of mesh, suede and leather. The midfoot's N logo is done up in black, and the most striking detail is served by silver tongues and heels, the latter of which boasts a small JJJJound text hit. Cream laces match the cream detailing on the two-tone ENCAP midsole a la the two's 990v3 colab from 2018 and specially-stamped insoles round off the look. The shoes also come packaged in a custom box.

Expect the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 to release on the JJJJound webstore February 24, then see a global release via New Balance on March 3. Its MSRP is set at $250, reflecting its premium construction.
