Third Time’s a Charm: JJJJound and ASICS Lace Up Another Smooth GEL-Kayano 14 Colab

Linking up for their third colab, the duo have taken another lap with the , keeping things sleek while nodding to the silhouette’s late-2000s running roots. This time around, the Montreal label sticks to its signature playbook: clean lines, subtle palettes and high-spec detail that doesn’t shout, but still hits.

Set to release on June 12, the project introduces two refined colourways. The 'White/Midnight' edition keeps things classic with a white mesh base, metallic silver overlays, debossed black accents and a deep midnight tiger stripe. Down below, the dark outsole features vibrant yellow and light grey touches that subtly reference performance footwear’s high-vis era.

The second pair – 'White/Black/Blue' – plays it cooler. Dressed in white mesh and silver accents with muted black hits, the model is finished off with a white midsole that nods to vintage Kayano DNA via a grey 'DUOMAX' section. Additionally, a soft baby blue threads through the build, adding just the right amount of contrast.

As always, JJJJound keep it minimal but never boring. The GEL-Kayano 14 itself is a shout-out to mid-2000s innovation: built on stability, comfort and layered tech. Both pairs stick to the legacy formula, with GEL cushioning and a metallic TRUSSTIC system still doing the heavy lifting underfoot. The sculpted sole and signature upper stay intact, balancing old-school performance with modern versatility.

The JJJJound x ASICS GEL-Kayano 'White/Midnight' and 'White/Black/Blue' are expected to hit shelves on June 12 via the brand's webstore and select retailers.
