Nature Reimagined: Jeong Li x Salomon XA PRO 3D

and Seoul-based designer Jeong Li have unveiled a striking new XA PRO 3D collaboration, set to release over the coming months. The partnership reimagines Salomon’s iconic trail runner through Li’s artistic lens, blending performance with nature-infused storytelling into a potion of sneaker heat.

Available in monochromatic black and earthy sienna brown, the sneakers draw inspiration from natural landscapes. The design features debossed patterns reminiscent of eroded cliffs and floral motifs, with fossil-like sole engravings which symbolise nature’s enduring impact – and, of course, our own footprints into and onto nature. Each layer’s distinct colour and material evoke historical art, narrating a tale of time’s passage.

For those unfamiliar with his work, Jeong Li is a Seoul-based designer renowned for his conceptual approach to fashion, seamlessly blending urban aesthetics with natural elements. His work often explores themes of time, nature, and human connection, and he's become a hugely distinctive voice within contemporary design. Li's collaborations often bridge that gap between functional outdoor gear and high fashion, proving his genius in mixing utility and artistry.

As always, performance remains paramount for Salomon. The collaboration was previewed at Salomon’s Le Marais store during Paris Fashion Week on June 25. The global release is scheduled for July 2 via Salomon and Jeong Li’s online platforms, priced at $160.
