JD Sports Play the Blues with the Air Jordan 13 ‘Hyper Royal’

The Air Jordan 13 has experienced a low-key resurgence in 2020, with the ‘Reverse He Got Game’ dropping right at the beginning of the year, then the underrated model proved to be properly revered when the ‘Flint’ retro promptly sold out mid-year. Using the OG drop as a starting template, Jordan Brand reprise the expansive dimpled black mesh overlays that envelop most of the upper, along with tonal grainy leather toe caps. Other period correct details include panther eye–inspired holograms on the lateral ankle and outsole arch, subtle Jordan branding on the throat, and embroidered Jumpman logo on the tongue. Turn on the flash, and the reflective strands woven through the mesh shimmer brilliantly! The rear is where the deviation begins, as rich lashings of royal blue suede cover the heel and midsole of the ‘Black Cat’ sneaker. Blue continues to wrap the outsole, which is contrasted by white herringbone traction inserts.
