J. Cole Pairs ‘Ebony and Ivory’ on the PUMA RS-Dreamer Colab
Rapper J. Cole is a life-long basketball fan who has been blessed with an ongoing collaboration with on the court model. have been quite colourful, but for this next performance, Cole opts for classic combinations of white and black, or in this case, ‘Ebony and Ivory’.
The RS-Dreamer’s complex mesh upper allows for unconventional colour-blocking that still looks balanced. Most of the panels are white or beige, such as the medial perforated arch panel, but black accents pop through in key areas such as the lateral arch window and lateral toe reinforcement. Some additional black appears on the midsole’s Formstripe branding and heel accent. The simple colourway emphasises the interesting lace system that wraps around the arches and heel, helping lock the foot down when the laces are cinched.
Underfoot, PUMA put ProFoam through the midsole and combine it with RS Foam in the heel for formidable cushioning and support. This is paired to a very grippy ice sole that uses a low-profile tread pattern resembling a feather. Finishing touches include contrast RSD tongue loop branding and the cloudy Dreamer logo on the heel.
