It's Official: Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 Collaboration Release Confirmed
After months of and , the x collaboration has finally been bestowed an official announcement and release date. The legendary New York streetwear imprint links up with the Swoosh once again for three distinctive takes on the rejuvenated Air Max model. Featuring Black/Speed Red/Clear, Dark Army/Speed Red/Clear, and Metallic Silver/Speed Red/Clear colourways, the clear-windowed collective will go down as one of the most memorable 'Preme sneaker drops in recent memory.
The Air Max 96 continues its return to the release radar with a Supreme statement, arriving with premium leather and mesh uppers, with 3M reflective binding. The most eye-catching features are undoubtedly the translucent windows on the upper, which replace the traditional puffed-out mesh panelling. The see-through details give us a peek at the red Supreme-branded insoles on the footbed, while more Supreme logos in red hit the tongue and the heel badge. As expected, the sole unit is packed with Air units, housed within a familiar white midsole and black outsole for a somewhat understated contrast to the jaw-dropping upper.
To ensure your accompanying sock game is on point, the collaboration also features a range of Lightweight Crew Socks marked by jacquard logos.
The Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 colourways release on May 6, exclusively via Supreme's webstore and brick-and-mortar locations. Expect to pay $190 a pop, if you're lucky enough to cop 'em at retail.
