Iridescent Branding Hits the Uptempo
When the Air More Uptempo burst back on to the scene in 2016, there was every chance the retro renaissance would be short-lived. The shoe’s over-sized branding and sheer heft didn’t align with pared-back designs that were popping off at the time.
Regardless, people loved it. The sneaker has powered through 2017 with no sign of slowing down. We’ve seen hyped (if questionable) Supreme colabs, and a bunch of stellar GRs like this ‘Dark Stucco’ pair. Appearing to be a slight deviation from the ‘Shine’ colourway from earlier in the year, these Uptempos drop the Pippen-honouring ‘8’ embroidered on the heel.
If you’re feeling the look — but, perhaps, not Pippen — head to Overkill and grab a pair now.
