The OG has been sold out for months, barring one or two restocks over the summer. But graffiti crew IRAK just came through with their own rework of the original.

Conceived in 1949 as a design for football and training on icy surfaces, the Samba is one of adidas’ most storied designs, sitting alongside other timeless models in the Three-Stripe pantheon, like the Gazelle, Superstar and Stan Smith.

In recent years, an under-the-radar sense of cool has been cultivated around the Samba, as its found favour with names like A$AP Rocky, Frank Ocean, Rihanna, and others who have laced up the classic ‘White/Black/Gum’ colourway.

Fronted by Kunle ‘Earsnot’ Martins, a designer and graffiti writer with close ties to the Supreme team, IRAK are known for their reworks of adidas’ EQT and ZX models, like the recent ZX 8000. Now, IRAK turns their attention to the Samba, redoing it with reflective panels on the upper, their logo on the tongue, and ‘IRAK 2022’ in place of the standard gold Samba text.

The initial drop is unfortunately sold out on both IRAK’s site and adidas CONFIRMED. Keep it locked to SF for updates on more restocks!
