Inside the Mind of Chris Hill, Designer Behind the Minions x Reebok Colab

The kooky Minions x Reebok collaboration has just released overnight, and the Vector brand sat down with designer Chris Hill, the mastermind behind the entire project.

ICYMI, the cinematic colab commemorates the upcoming Minions: The Rise of Gru animated movie, and Reebok have been very judicious in reworking their classic styles for some truly off-kilter designs.

The pack includes two variants of the Instapump Fury, one which replicates the all-yellow skin of the eponymous Minion characters, while the other is a ‘What The?’ styled hodgepodge of clashing patterns in reference to the deadly ‘Vicious 6’. Arguably the highlights of the collection, there will be mini-me kids editions to match.

The other half of the pack incorporates another two versions of the fan-favourite Club C, again going for the Minions look, and the other a tasty corduroy-covered ‘Vicious 6’ complete with velvet inners.

And rounding things off is a robotic all-silver take on the Question Mid, modelled after titular character, Gru. The entire pack is complete with custom shoeboxes designed in the likeness of Gru’s lab, plus some Reebok placements.

The Minions x Reebok pack is out now directly from Reebok. It’ll be a while yet before the accompanying movie hits cinemas, so these will stoke the flames for now.
