Ibn Jasper is taking a little timeout from his own brand to join forces with Converse for a collaborative edition of the Pro Leather.
According to Converse, Jasper's goal was to shine a spotlight on Dr. J and to make sure today's kids are familiar with one of the most influential basketball players of all time. So, naturally, Jasper took on Erving's old Pro Leather, taking inspiration from a pre-game photo of Dr. J that showed the legendary baller walking into the arena rocking an all-white fit. The result adds perfectly placed suede overlays to the kicks, while tongue zippers, embossed Roman numerals, and custom lace jewels give the design a contemporary vibe.
The colab drops on September 26.
