HEYDUDE! The Ultimate Comfort Sneaker Brand Has Finally Arrived Down Under
was founded in 2008 by two Italian footwear experts looking to create the ultimate comfort brand. By 2011, HEYDUDE had expanded to the rest of Europe, America and East Asia and sold over one million pairs of their signature loafers. With an endlessly versatile catalogue, the brand has been racking up milestones ever since, with the creation of their women’s focused Wendy in 2018, acquisition from Crocs in 2022, and major partnerships with country singer Jelly Roll and actor Sydney Sweeney in 2024. Fresh off a nostalgic project with Furby, HEYDUDE have finally taken a long-haul flight Down Under.
The flagship lineup is headed by the Wally and Wendy models. Embodying the brand’s playful DNA, the double Ws feature a slip-on design and smooth textiles that leave plenty of room for creativity. The lightweight outsole is constructed with Flex & Fold Technology that moulds to the wearer’s natural arch for customised support. American sweetheart Sydney Sweeney was appointed Director of Dude in the latter half of 2024, with the actor appearing in an adventure-filled video wearing different HEYDUDE models before switching it up for in-home comfort with the fluffy Wendy Slide. More recently, a partnership with Colorado Buffalo Wide Receiver and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter was debuted via the ‘Unlike Anything’ campaign. A longtime fan, Hunter was spotted in the HEYDUDE Wally during a photoshoot with his trophy and has been rocking the Wally Stretch Sox and Wally Slippers for years before the official deal was announced.
