Hender Scheme Seem to Pay Tribute to a Swoosh Classic
Japanese brand Hender Scheme have gained some notoriety for their rather obvious homages to iconic sneaker designs, appearing in veg-tanned leather since their 2011 collection.
At last, it seems the final frontier has been crossed: here is what looks like a Hender Scheme tribute to the Nike Air Force 1 Low. Rather, it’s being called the ‘manual industrial products 22’, in line with the brand’s other sneaker tributes.
In previous seasons, a strapped high-top edition of the AF-1 has been crafted, but this is the first time there’s a low-cut. The natural vegetable tanning on the entire sneaker will age finely and attract tasteful patina – provided its wearer takes care of them.
The manual industrial products 22 will be available at selected Hender Scheme retailers worldwide from November 30. They’ll likely be very expensive.
