Los Angeles-born streetwear label Hellstar, founded in 2020, has rapidly ascended through fashion circles – backed by big-name fans like Kai Cenat and Metro Boomin. Now, Hellstar are teaming up with to set alight one of Team Trefoil’s most iconic sneakers: the The first look at the colab surfaced via Sneaker News, giving us a preview of what’s to come.

This isn’t a polite remix. The Hellstar Superstar is drenched in chaos, twisting the clean lines of the shelltoe classic into something darker and more aggressive. The black leather upper is covered in graphic prints that nod to Hellstar’s horror-pop influences, while a snarling character takes over the heel. Exposed zig-zag stitching runs across the rear, giving the build a jagged, monster-like finish.

Hellstar crank the theatrics even further with a raised plastic flame attachment that scorches up the sidewalls, breaking away from the standard Superstar playbook. Underneath the eyestays, exposed blood-red foam peeks out in craggy lines, like the shoe itself is split open. The same crimson tone highlights the exposed foam on the tongue, amplifying the sinister energy.

The midsole is one of the wildest touches: smoke graphics billow across the sidewalls, making the Superstar look like it’s smouldering from the ground up. Co-branded details include the Hellstar flaming star logo on the tongue and heel tab, plus a punch of orange on the rear pull tab for contrast.

It’s a bold, anarchic take on the Superstar – one that trades polish for pandemonium, perfectly channeling Hellstar’s raw spirit into adidas’ most storied silhouette.
