Hanon's Latest New Balance Colab Is The Catch Of The Day
With Scotland recently voted the most beautiful country in the world, it's no wonder Hanon constantly look to their homeland for colab inspiration. This time around, the crew at the Aberdeen-based boutique have turned their attention to the city's bustling harbour to introduce some nautical influence into the recently revived ,New Balance 520 runner. Nicknamed 'Fisherman's Blues', this colab embraces plush leather uppers soaked in a melange of maritime hues, and sports white leather toe boxes that have been delicately perforated for welcome ventilation. Sitting pretty atop clean white midsoles, these 520s come equipped with dual-branded leather insoles and are finished off with leather Hanon hangtags.
To accompany the project, Hanon enlisted British photographer Ewen Spencer to capture a series of images of fishermen in Peterhead, Scotland. Every pair purchased through Hanon will come bundled with four postcards featuring images from the shoot. Each pair will also come with three sets of laces and will be packaged inside a bespoke shoe box and special edition cotton dust bag.
The Hanon x New Balance U520HNF 'Fisherman's Blues' will release through Hanon on September 16.
