Hanon x Diadora Squash (St. Clair)
What do a ferry, an early-80s soccer match and a squash shoe have in common? Until now, we’d have said not a lot. But thanks to the latest collaboration between Aberdeen’s and we are now much wiser.
The ‘St. Clair’ Squash was created to commemorate a rainy Swedish night in 1983, when Aberdeen FC won their first European Cup against Real Madrid. The shoe’s colourway has been lifted from the St. Clair ferry, which was chartered for a one-off voyage carting fans from Scotland to Gothenburg to watch the game.
Handcrafted in Italy from super-soft kangaroo leather, the shoes are jam-packed with references to the night of the game. The production is strictly limited to 150 pairs, so you’ll have to stay on your toes if you’re looking to score.
The Hanon x Diadora Squash ‘St. Clair’ will be available at an invite-only launch event on October 25, before remaining pairs hit the web store on October 28. Head to to find out all the details.
