Hanon and Diadora Take An ‘Alternative Route’ on the N9000 Made In Italy
are continuing their celebratory collaborative run on the runner following its 30th anniversary last year. 2021 sees a string of collaborators new and old invited to the party, which next sees Scottish boutique revisit the heritage silhouette. This colourway, dubbed the ‘Alternative Route’, revisits 2014’s , and presents what would have eventuated had things turned out differently.
Adopting a colour scheme conceived during the design process of the original ‘Saturday Special’, which by the way conceived a shortly after its launch, there is a sporty mix of teal, blue and red across uber lush suede, leather and mesh uppers. The complex and multilayered panels of the N9000 allow Hanon to demonstrate an absolute masterclass in colour-blocking. And they show off their involvement in the project with embroidered flame branding on the right shoe’s heel, plus branded insoles. Additionally, the custom shoebox is a recreation of the type used for their 2014 colab.
Like all premium renditions of the N9000, the ‘Alternative Route’ is crafted straight outta Diadora’s OG factory in the Montebelluna district of Caerano di San Marco.
