Highs and Lows have been supplying sneakerheads in Western Australia for almost two decades now and have cemented themselves as an integral part of the global sneaker landscape. Their name stretches far and wide, thanks to their curated online selection and epic collaborations across a slew of brands. Their latest was a joint venture with ASICS under their new HAL STUDIOS label, which is headed up by John Bouquet. They picked the 1130 silhouette as their canvas, and the trail-inspired palette was an instant hit among fans, selling out with the quickness! Now, the Perth-based crew is set to drop a sequel.

If these green GEL-1130s look familiar, that’s because Bouquet has already teased them on his own socials and the HAL STUDIOS IG account. HAL and ASICS, combining their ‘maximal minimalism’ ethos once more, have taken inspiration from lush Japanese forests and the Shinto shrines found scattered throughout their greenery.

Simply dubbed ‘Forest’, this pair boasts a same-but-different vibe to the previous 1130. Browns and deep greens are the primary focal points, with tasteful orange touches reaching the rear GEL unit and insoles. Once again, breathable mesh acts as the canvas with brown faux leather striping wrapping either side and their now-signature shaggy suede covering the toebox, lateral and medial. The duo have injected plenty of tech in this edition, including a TRUSSTIC™ support system and signature ASICS GEL.
