One of this week’s biggest releases is going to be the x . The creative agency joins a very esteemed roster of collaborators on the 992 in 2020, which has already included , and , among others. Studio FY7’s effort sees an equally clean and wearable take on the recently revived NB runner. Is this the best colab yet?
The Paris-based, Algerian-backed brand is the brainchild of Younes Bendjima, whose modelling background clearly has honed his eye for aesthetics. These 992s feature a tasty mix of beige and black across the suede and mesh upper, which, in previous reportage, refers to the contrasting nature of Algeria’s sandy dunes and capital city Ghardaïa’s towering architecture. Custom touches like the FY7 tongue embroidery and brown printed insoles confirm the colab. Even the two-tone black and white midsole is a nice touch that’s not often specced on many NBs. Very very nice.
Now, the all-important release details. The Studio FY7 x New Balance 992 releases exclusively on October 22 via the Studio FY7 . The kicker? There will only be 250 pairs available. And, if recent comments on their Instagram are anything to go by, this will be a difficult cop. Good luck.
