Ghostbusters and Reebok Ready Special Edition Ghost Smasher 'Ectoplasm'
and are continuing their collaborative relationship, celebrating the home entertainment release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife by reinvigorating the Ghost Smasher in a special 'Ectoplasm' makeup. It may look a lot like the first from Halloween 2020, but there are some upgraded details to be had that fans of the Ghostbusters series are sure to appreciate!
The base of the Ghost Smasher silhouette is almost identical in shape to Reebok's classic , but it's all Ghostbusters thanks to the detachable proton pack on the heel that nods to any Ghostbuster's most powerful tool. Here, it even glows in the dark – as does the tongue detailing. The upper is more distressed than the original release, and there's 1980s lab-inspired detailing on both the forefoot and collar's Velcro straps. Even the box gets in on the action via details like a 'Less talk ... more busting' hit atop the Reebok logo and a 'This is how it ends' text graphic for a nod to the movie. Fun fact: the shoe gets its name from the film franchise's original title as well!
Expect the Ghostbusters x Reebok Ghost Smasher 'Ectoplasm' to release exclusively to Reebok UNLOCKED members on March 16 in unisex sizing. Its MSRP is set at $200.
