Ghica Popa Partners with KangaROOS for ‘Out of This World’ Ultimate
Visual artist is known for his unique design sensibility that merges his love of sneakers and art, garnering a reputation around the globe for his wild creations. Recently, Popa hosted his first-ever solo exhibition in Milan called and now he’s just announced a collaboration with Using the Ultimate silhouette, this linkup is set to be limited to only 286 pairs.
The Ghica Popa x KangaROOS Ultimate has been composed using a crisp nubuck, nappa leather and mesh construction, alongside a liner made using bio active mesh. Sustainable materials are aplenty. The insole is crafted using microfibre from recycled bottles found in ocean cleanups, the footbed is made using 96 per cent leftover fabric, and the midsole is created with 30 per cent recycled phylon. Said to be ‘Out of this World’, the collaborative Ultimate fuses Popa's illustrated universe with the high quality construction of KangaROOS.
Ghica Popa will launch his first collaboration with KangaROOS at a launch event in Hamburg on September 14 with a wider launch on September 15.
