GANNI Grab a Duo of New Balance 2002R Colabs

GANNI is a ready-to-wear Danish brand known for their wide swath of womenswear, and they've just scored their first-ever colab with New Balance: two lively iterations of the popular 2002R. Centred around a 'Don't Step Towards the Future, Run To It' tagline, the offerings combine GANNI's eye for bright and bold colours with New Balance's classic understated elegance and high-quality materials.

The more muted of the two pairs combines tan, white and green shades while the more vibrant iteration blends grey and white tones with vivid red, yellow, orange and green ombre detailing. Each features a repeating GANNI print on its toebox, forefoot and collar plus doubled-up heel tabs. If you look closely, you'll also catch some colourful contrast stitching and co-branded tongues/insoles! A finishing touch is provided by speckled outsoles that appear to be made of sustainable material.

It appears as if the 2002R will be a key player in New Balance's 2022 lifestyle lineup: we've seen multiple new colourways of the popular 'Protection Pack' pop up over the last few weeks, and also been treated to a look at some ultra-chill mules. The Joe Freshgoods-led 'Conversations Amongst Us' initiative includes a new 2002R colourway as well!

GANNI's take on New Balance's throwback running shoe turned lifestyle favourite is set to release on the GANNI and New Balance online stores April 13. It's priced at $150.
