Cali brand and its label have been delivering nothing but pure heat these last few moons. Following the skate brand's workwear-inspired in April, the premium division has now joined forces with streetwear brand FUCKTHEPOPULATION for a double drop of reimagined iconic silhouettes.

Designed with FTP's signature logo front and centre, the collection leaps off with a modified version of the trademark Old Skool 36. Served in a sleek tonal design – with accompanying black leather and suede panels for durability – the kick is decked out in a monogram print, with luxe fabric highlights and FTP branding on the tongue, heel overlay and midfoot jazz stripe.

Switching to the Authentic 44, Vans’ checkerboard print covers the canvas base, with the FTP monogram print appearing on every other square. Plush black suede accents the toe, complemented by white FTP branding on the vamp. Black-and-white touches continue on the tongue and laces, and the design is completed with an FTP-branded rubber midsole.

FTP founder Zac Clark released a statement to accompany the drop.

'I grew up in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles with my mom,' he says. 'Anytime she was looking for school shoes that worked for me, it was always Vans. Since starting FTP back in 2010 during high school, I’ve always dreamed of doing a collaboration with them.

'This project really feels like a full circle moment – a dream come true. I just wish , my mentor, was here to see it. He was one of the first people to believe in me and help open doors in the industry. I hope my journey shows that if you believe in yourself and keep going, you really can do anything.'
