‘Rust’ Forms on the Footpatrol x Mizuno Wave Rider 10
UK boutique are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year by rolling out a series of collaborative releases with a number of their closest brand partners. One of these colabs is with on the 10, a modern running shoe reworked for casual use. Built around the concept of ‘Rust’, expect to see plenty of earth tones on this thematic take that Footpatrol say is the ‘perfect way for us to showcase the natural processes of the world.’
Custom colours including ‘Driftwood Brown’, ‘Berry Conserve’ and ‘Green Milieu’ decorate the Wave Rider 10, which is built on a base of suede and mesh – the classic combination for runner styles. FP put some extra thought into the material selection as the suede is extra hairy (and therefore extra premium) and the mesh is an exquisite weave, unlike varieties found on more regular sneakers. The midsoles feature Mizuno’s signature Wave cushioning technology and are decorated with speckling. Every detail has been pored over, resulting in bespoke elements including a secondary pair of woven hiking-style laces, plus a custom designed FP x Mizuno shoebox.
The Footpatrol x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 will release via the Footpatrol Launches App and throughout their physical store network on July 21.
