Footpatrol and KARHU Tap the Archives on the Fusion 2.0 'Snowstar'
have been gaining popularity over the past few years, but don’t get it twisted, the Finnish footwear brand have been doing their thing for over 100 years. They’ve now linked up with Footpatrol on a sneaker inspired by KARHU’s past, bringing it into the present.
The third collaboration between the two features the KARHU Fusion 2.0 and takes from the KARHU Snowstar, a 1980s running shoe built for the winter. The Snowstar used durable nylon with split leather reinforcements and a velcro shroud for easy lockdown when running with gloves.
Footpatrol takes on the Fusion 2.0 and have brought the Snowstar’s influence with it, making the Fusion 2.0 a modernised, city-ready runner with water-repellant uppers and durable materials. Nylon, nubuck and rubberised panelling are used on the collaborative sneaker, adding in Footpatrol branding on the medial side. Red accents the grey upper, with KARHU branding seen throughout and a cream midsole and black and red outsole finishing off the sneaker.
The Footpatrol x KARHU Fusion 2.0 ‘Snowstar’ is set to drop on September 30, 2023 via Footpatrol’s channels, retailing for $165. Alongside the collaborative sneaker, a two-piece oversuit will be released as well, retailing for $200. Check out the photos above and the links below to purchase.
