F-LAGSTUF-F and ASICS Link Up For GORE-TEX-Equipped GEL-Fujitrabuco 8Release: 21 January 2022
Nobuyuki Murayama's F-LAGSTUF-F and ASICS are starting off 2022 with the same way they wrapped up 2021, namely a tan-toned, GORE-TEX-lined footwear colab. After bolstering the throwback GEL-PTG MT in December, they've now turned their attention to the modern GEL-Fujitrabuco 8, a trail running shoe with plenty of striking details.
Much like the above-mentioned GEL-PTG MT, the GEL-Fujitrabuco 8 features a tan upper that sits above a black midsole. However, unlike its predecessor, it features a swath of jagged tonal overlays surrounding its midfoot Tiger stripe. The rest of the top half mixes mesh and suede, with small GORE-TEX hits and special F-LAGSTUF-F heel details providing flair. Down below, stark black midsoles discard ASICS' standard GEL cushioning setup in favour of a springy FlyteFoam midsole setup that's reinforced by a toothy ASICSGRIP midsole designed for the trails.
If you're looking to cop a pair of this rugged, water-resistant design, it'll be available at Japanese retailers like BEAMS and mita sneakers come January 21. A retail price has yet to be announced.
