First Look: Air Jordan 11 'Concord' 2018 Retro Gets a '45' Logo
The Air Jordan 11 ‘Concord’ hasn’t had a retro since 2011. So, understandably, Jordanheads are abuzz with the news of its imminent return in December.
The most famed 11 ever, the colourway is synonymous with Michael Jordan’s return to the NBA in 1995. Designed by Tinker Hatfield (it’s his favourite sneaker ever), the silhouette incorporated a never-before-seen carbon fibre outsole and a slick patent leather and mesh upper. The icy translucent sole went on to be a mainstay in the Jordan Brand lineup.
The 2018 retro will include all the recognised features of OG, but will feature a ‘45’ on the heel instead of the familiar ‘23’. MJ wore the number ‘45’ during that infamous comeback season, which ultimately resulted in the Chicago Bulls going 72-10 and winning the NBA Championship.
The Air Jordan 11 ‘Concord’ 2018 release takes place December 8. Stay tuned, as we’ll be sure to update you on availability and where to cop.
