First Look: The Air Jordan 1 ‘Shadow 2.0’Release: 15 May 2021
Jordan Brand have built a strong reputation for taking fan-favourite colourways of their Air Jordan 1, tweaking them slightly, and creating brand new renditions. A while back we heard a rumour about an AJ1 High that had been dressed in a flipped ‘Shadow’ colour scheme, and would be dubbed the ‘Shadow 2.0’. Now, it looks like the rumours are true, because we’ve just received our first look at the upcoming release. It’s pretty similar to the original, but with slight adjustments.
This imagery comes courtesy of hanzuying, and from what we can see above, Jordan Brand have taken the classic Medium Grey/White combination and switched it up so it’s now Black/Smoke Grey/White. Black leather acts as the base, with clean grey suede overlays setting the mood. A white midsole completes the design.
According to hanzuying, a release date has been scheduled for May 15 this year via Nike and selected retailers like Flight Club. That’s just a whisper at this stage, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when official word surfaces.
