First Look: The Air Jordan 1 Cops a React Makeover
‘Don’t over think it, just sit back and let the streets REACT.’ Such are the word's of Jordan Brand’s Frank Cooker, who has taken to Instagram to share an image of an all-new React-based silhouette. Cooker photographed the previously unseen design together with the Nike React Element 87 and ‘Bred’ Air Jordan 1, suggesting the new model to be a hybrid of the two. More than just a straight up sole swap, the as-yet-unnamed high-top deviates highly from its apparent inspirations, but bears a few telltale nods. The model looks to feature a snug black Flyknit upper with a red toe box poached directly from the ‘Bred’ AJ1. Above this Flyknit base is an added layer of translucent textile, as embraced by the React Element 87.
Cooker hasn’t announced a name or release date for the new sneaker design, but we’ll keep you posted with updates.
