First Look: The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Noise Aqua’

Starting their year off in style with the New Balance 991 collaboration in January, the Amsterdam-based Patta label followed up by revisiting the ‘Mean Eyed Cat’ with new Sk8-His and Old Skools.

Now, we’ve got our first look at Patta’s Nike x Air Max ‘Noise Aqua’, the collaboration set to join the orange-tinged colourway (Metallic Sliver/Monarch/Pure Platinum). Inspired by the cult-favourite Air Max 2 (originally hitting shelves in 1994), the Air Max 1 ‘Noise Aqua’ is replete with a wave-cut mudguard, the nubuck, leather and mesh construction emblazoned with a mini Swoosh at the toe.

Housed in co-branded custom packaging, the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Noise Aqua’ is expected to arrive later this year for $160.

Patta (which directly translates to ‘shoe’ in the two founders’ native language of Surinamese) was opened in 2004 by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. While we wait for official release details, make sure to check-out our feature, Talking Shop: A History of Patta Collaborations.
