First Look: Nike's Epic React Flyknit 2 Set for 2019

The ushered in for Team Swoosh’s running lineup in 2018, and it looks like they will be upping the ante in the new year. LeBron James was recently spotted in an updated iteration of the sleek runner, aptly dubbed the Epic React Flyknit 2. While similar to its predecessor at a glance, the sequel’s upgrades become apparent on closer inspection.

The silhouette is more or less the same, but the heel cage has been cut lower, resulting in a more sock-like appearance. The midfoot Swoosh has been enlarged for a bolder branding hit, while the Flyknit upper’s weave pattern has been tweaked for improved fit and performance.

The King donned a fresh ‘Pixel’ make-up, accented with blue, pink and green against a dark Flyknit base. Look out for this colourway and possibly others on January 31, 2019.
