First Look: The NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 80s

NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 80s

Shinsuke Takizawa’s legendary NEIGHBORHOOD label is no stranger when it comes to sneaker collaborations.

After commencing in Shibuya in 1994, Shin has welcomed numerous sneaker brands into the NEIGHBORHOOD fold, beginning with the adidas Gazelle in 2006. And NEIGHBORHOOD have reunited with the Three Stripes in 2021, the leopard-laden Samba and Campus 80s arriving on shelves in April.

Now, we’ve got our first look at the NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar 80s, the two colourways appearing in black and olive green. Built with a unique lacing system, the Superstar 80s are overhauled with zippers that reveal a co-branded tongue tag.

Primarily utilising suede uppers, the Superstar 80s are lined with leather, while co-branded insoles and heels announce the collaborative nature of the design. ‘NEIGHBORHOOD’ is also emblazoned on the lateral side-panel.

We don’t have release details as yet, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.

In the meantime, make sure you check out a brief history of NEIGHBORHOOD sneaker collaborations.
