First Look: The League of Legends Pro League x Nike Dunk Low

League of Legends Pro League x Nike Dunk Low

The ongoing mashup between video games and sneakers continues to power-up the sneaker industry, Paul George collaborating with Sony for the Nike PG 5 ‘PlayStation 5’, while League of Legends tapped the Jumpman for the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT ‘League of Legends World Championship’ in 2020.

Back in 2019, Nike announced the partnership with League of Legends Pro League, a lucrative deal that would see the Swoosh outfitting professional eSports gamers in sneakers and apparel. We’ve now got our first look at the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) x Nike Dunk Low (somewhat of a follow-up to the Air Jordan 1), the collaboration scheduled to arrive later this year.

Rendered in subtle textures inspired by classic Chinese iconography, the LPL x Nike Dunk Low is emblazoned with iridescent Swooshes complete with glow-in-the-dark detailing on the Swoosh outline. Glow-in-the-dark highlights extend to the heel panels and outsole, while the red sockliner adds aesthetic hierarchy. Co-branded tongues announce the collaborative nature of the Dunk Low, and star embroidery on the lateral heels adds further character to the design.

Look for the LPL x Nike Dunk Low to release later this year.
