FILA's MB Ages Gracefully in 'Tawney Port'
The mid-90s was the golden era for basketball shoes. Sure, they have nothing on lightweight modern designs from a performance perspective, but damn did they look good! Duking it out with the likes of Reebok's Shaqnosis and Nike's Air More Uptempo, FILA dropped the MB in 1996 as the signature sneaker for then-Mavericks small forward Jamal Mashburn.
The MB's combination of sleek upper and swirled midsole was one of the best on court. FILA have treated us to a sprinkling of releases since the model's 2015 return and here it is again, this time in a smooth blend of 'Tawney Port' suede and metallic gold leather. Finished off with a smattering of white on the midsoles and gum outsoles, this is one refined release.
The FILA MB in 'Tawney Port/Metallic Gold/Gum' is available right now from select stockists, including Sneakersnstuff.
