Fernando Tatis Jr. and adidas Swing for the Fences with an UltraBOOST DNA ColabRelease: 24 November 2021
San Diego Padres shortstop and (occasional) outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. is riding high right now. He was both the recipient of a Silver Slugger award and named to the All-MLB Team for the second season in a row, and now he's keeping his roll going with his first-ever adidas sneaker colab – a fresh take on the UltraBOOST DNA.
Dressed in light blue, salmon and yellow, Tatis' UltraBOOST offers a sporty look that's defined by the gradient fade on its midsole. His special 'FT' logo appears on both the tongue badge and the insole, while his last name runs up the heel tab.
Tatis was snapped up by adidas in the early days of 2020, with the Three Stripes hoping his flash, swagger and power would appeal to young baseball fans. After hitting 42 home runs and placing 3rd in NL MVP voting this last year – plus garnering the accolades mentioned above – Tatis is definitely holding up his end of the bargain and serving the same role that Mike Trout does for Nike.
If you're looking to cop Fernando Tatis Jr.'s adidas UltraBOOST DNA colab, you can do so at Foot Locker or Champs Sports. It's priced at $200.
