Feng Chen Wang Dials Up the Distress For New Converse Chuck 70 Low Capsule

No one quite meshes the functional and the conceptual like Feng Chen Wang, and now the designer's heaven-made match with Converse brings us another two exquisitely distressed colourways for the Chuck 70 Low colab series.
It's been seven years since Chinese-born, London-based talent Wang sent her deconstructed and re-stitched Chuck Taylors down the runway at Shanghai Fashion Week to audible gasps (probably!). In the intervening years, Wang and Converse have revived that powerful partnership a smattering of times, and always to fascinating end – and these new offerings are not letting the team down.
One model heads down the brown-tan-cream colourway path, while the other moves towards a slate-blue – and both have a beautifully cracked finish to their gradient, with colour bleeding out onto the midsole and toebox. As for design, both take their cues from the focal point of previous Feng Chen Wang x Converse colabs: the subdivided sole. Super thick and segmented, the sole's cut-outs appear totally disjointed until you spot the canvas's continuation into the upper eyelet panel. Enjoy another perspective-jolt when you see the heel, where the cut-out effect serves a glitchy peek at the underlying black rubber Converse logo.
Both pairs sport Feng Chen Wang branding text along the heel's lateral side in white, as well as laces branded with logo text in slate for the blue pair, and brown for the tan pair.
Fans of this always-engrossing collaborative powerhouse will not be waiting long – the Feng Chen Wang x Converse Chuck 70 Low capsule is all set at a $130 per pair price point for release on May 20, 2025 through the Converse site and select retailers.
