The Latest Fear of God x adidas LA Runner and One Model Drop This Week
The partnership between and was first when Lorenzo shocked the sneakersphere with a photo showing off a Three Stripes tattoo on his neck. It was another to adi that left the Swoosh hanging, especially off the back of a very successful run that flew off shelves and left a growing appetite for the duo’s product. After a few years of silence, it was when Lorenzo announced that the Fear of God Athletics x adidas 2023-2024 opening season will begin that month. Debuting a range of footwear models that perfectly balanced sport and luxury fashion, FoG are now releasing the fourth capsule of their collection, which includes new colourways of the Los Angeles Runner and One Model.
For the Los Angeles Runner, Fear of God have taken the classic adidas L.A. Trainer and fitted it out with premium suede and durable ripstop fabric that rests on a wavy rubber sole unit. This iteration of the iconic runner is constructed for support and features a padded tongue, moulded capsule and an adjustable lace toggle. The result is a runner that is as luxurious as it is practical, with the versatility to go from shopping at Erewhon to a hot girl walk. The new colourway is in-line with FoG’s minimalistic and tonal palettes, with the suede looking extra creamy in ‘Sesame’ and off-white.
Originally referenced as the BASKETBALL1 model, the One Model comes correct in a low-profile silhouette with a translucent rubber outsole. The upper consists of a premium knit with a neoprene collar and no-sew TPU film overlays, giving the shoe a futuristic, neo-noir veneer. Comfortable performance is provided by a Lightstrike midsole, while the ankle bungee with toggle ensures a snug fit for hooping. The new colourway takes on the same contrasting build as the previous releases (which were themed for college basketball teams) but this time in their signature neutral hues, with a grey upper and black toe.
There aren’t any official release dates for the Fear of God x adidas LA Runner and One Model; however, they are expected to land in August.
