Extra Butter Bring a ‘Moment of Clarity’ to the ASICS GEL-1130

Brace yourself – the is getting a fresh remix! and indie New York-based boutique and lifestyle brand have teamed up to breathe new life into the early-2000s runner, blending performance roots with streetwise sensibilities. Last seen at the back end of 2024, the wallet-friendly silhouette has already received collaborative spins from the likes of Kith and Stefon Diggs.

Titled 'Moment of Clarity', the co-designed model takes a minimalist route, opting for a palette built around tonal whites and sharp metallic accents. Instead of relying on bold colours or experimental twists, the kick focuses on refinement and wearability, allowing it to slip into just about any rotation. Layered mesh and reflective silver detailing feature throughout as a homage to the model's early 00s roots.

To celebrate the release, Extra Butter threw a pop-up at their Lower East Side store, with DJ Sun providing the soundtrack. The event drew locals eager to check out the GEL-1130, widely regarded as the Japanese label’s next major moment, and to soak up the vibe.
